Haffeh Saga Continues

Looting and robbing continued today in Haffeh and surrounding villages by Assad gangs; many army and civilian cars were seen entering Haffeh today since 6:00 in the morning and started looting houses and shops carrying furniture, goods, and all they could take while breaking and burning stuff they can’t take. Many houses were also burned under supervision of army officers and the governor.
In a call between a UN observer and an activist from Haffeh, the former explained the observers’ intention of visiting the town, but the activist told him it was pointless now that observers will most likely meet people from outside town brought by the regime to act as locals and claim that there were “armed gangs” and that the Syrian army freed them. The activist was however asked to give names of places and villages in Haffeh.
A bridge was shelled today on Dourine-Tella road which link Kurds to Sahyoon Mountains through Jengeel to cut the way for locals who fled Haffeh. Last night gunfire was heard in Kisebba’s police station and then two rockets fell in Sehaqeel village for unknown reasons.
35 year-old Yusef Aaker and Muhammad Fahed died by fire of Assad army. Also, Ahmad al-Kurdi died on the 16th of June in Kurds Mountains by Assad’s men.
Most internet, 3G, and DSL connections were out of order today in Latakia before being partially restored later.
Later and according to al-Jazeera the observers managed to get to Haffeh.
30 year-old Abdul-Salam Daqqur was arrested on 28/5 while getting back home at night and is being reported to have been transferred to Damascus. Meanwhile Fahed Turefy was released this morning.
Adnan Aziz Ibrahim [26 yrs], Suleiman Yahya al-Samar [27 yrs], and a person called Mohammed are missing since yesterday 13 of June while getting back from Safita to Latakia.
Free Latakia Youth movement sprayed freedom slogans on walls in Mashrou’ al-Slaybeh near Rahman Mosque, and last night activists did the same in Antakia Street. Freedom paper clippings were distributed in Americans Street and Souq.
A demo took place in Antakia Street today near Zat al-Nitaqain School, and at night another demo took place in Slaybeh and was attacked by security members who chased after protesters through allies.
20 year-old Abdul-Haseeb Dehho died due to random shooting by Assad forces in Yemen Square Yesterday.
